Abstract: This research study investigated the experiences of adolescents diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in accessing supportive service provisions, considering the sociocultural and economic factors that affect their participation in society on an equal footing with those without disabilities. Using Thomas's (2007) social-relational understanding of disability as the conceptual framework, a qualitative approach was adopted, and semi-structured interviews were conducted with four parents of children between the ages of 10 and 19 and two field specialists. Inductive thematic analysis was used to analyse the data gathered from the interviews. The findings reveal that the greatest struggles faced by young people with disabilities are due to the social and interpersonal limitations of their environment, which aligns with Thomas's (2007) social-relational framework concerning disability. This research sheds light on the experiences of children and adolescents with ADHD and identifies barriers and facilitators that can contribute to the improvement of their quality of life.
