Abstract: One of the most complex and devastating conflicts that have riddled our era is the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which to date, despite monumental attempts to establish peaceful and durable solutions still lingers on. This article traces the plethora of partition plans, agreements, bilateral, and multilateral talks and negotiations, which have all tried to bridge the gap between differing yet deeply interlocked historical narratives, and political claims, without much success, or development. The fundamental reason behind constant failure lies in the continuing negation of some of the most fundamental rights relating to the Palestinian people: their right of self determination, the right of return, and the right to establish a sovereign Palestinian state. It is hoped, that with time, both sides will realise that any major future development towards establishing peace and stability will depend solely on comprehensive and just solutions for the Palestinian and Israeli peoples.
