| Abstract: | The article intends to address the forced migration phenomenon in Italy within the scope of the changing nature of (forced) migration as a whole. We suggest that today we are not only facing a fragmentation of different forms of international protection, but also a more complex process of blurring the boundaries among distinct categories of the so-called forced migrants. For this purpose, we analyze not only the legal framework, but also the social discourse of those who decide the attribution of these labels and of the actors who interact day by day with these different migrants. |
