Abstract: This report provides a comprehensive analysis of crime statistics for the year 2009 along with a comparative overview of crime trends from 2008. The data used for this analysis is derived from official crime statistics. The purpose of this report is to identify significant changes in crime rates and to offer insights into underlying trends. Crime decreased by 13% from 2008 to 2009. Theft is the highest occurring crime. Arson, Domestic Violence, Drugs, Fraud, Computer Misuse, Perjury and False Swearing, Prostitution, Sexual Offences, Threats and Private Violence and Violence against Public Officers increased. Bodily Harm, Damages, Forgery and Theft decreased.
