| Abstract: | IT would be worth the trouble of a long and painful pilgrimage to fall in, at length, with a family in which the present tense of the indicative mood of a certain verb active, were in daily, full, and practical operation. Thus :- ' I love. Thou lovest. He and she loves. We love. Ye love. They love.' This, however, might be too much to expect ; but some considerable advances towards such a state of things may surely be hoped for where a right direction is given to the best instincts of humanity. Plainly, if the moral training of children must begin with the subjection of the will, it should be accompanied, step by step, with the education, literally the leading forth, of the affections...
