Ngħidu Kelma : ir-raba’ serje (programmi 76 – 100)

Abstract

In the recent research based publication Ngħidu kelma, the author successfully produced a series of 100 radio programmes that serve as a vital repository of collective memory of people hailing from the Maltese context. This project applies a theoretical framework grounded in narrative inquiry. At its crux this recognizes the significance of personal and collective stories and investigates how these narratives shape cultural identities and determine historical contexts.

Research aims: The series pursued two core aims:

1. To discover which collective memories within Maltese society have been overlooked or forgotten, and how they can be identified and evaluated;

2. formulating a deeper understanding of cultural identity in Malta through the narratives collected during the radio series.
