| Abstract: | Toward the end of 2022, the European Union presented its highest accolade to the initiatives aimed at conserving, restoring, and regenerating the ancient fortified city of Gozo, which was originally named Gran Castello and is now widely recognized as the Cittadella. This recognition followed a significant project that had a total cost surpassing 14 million euros, of which 12 million euros were provided by the European Fund for Regional Development. |
