| Abstract: | The roles of leadership at village level and the link of these roles with national politics are the main themes of this paper. For the scope of this presentation the notion of ‘Politics’ refers to activities which are involved in the determination and implementation of public goals and/or the differential distribution and use of power within the group or groups concerned with the goals being considered. Closely linked to this is the involvement in these events of the use of public power. |
