| Abstract: | The initiative for this Festschrift came from the Malta Association of Professional Conservator – Restorers. One fine morning I received an email from James Licari asking whether I would be willing to enter for the editorial role of a publication to honour the contribution Joseph Schirò gave to the Maltese bibliographical and conservation sectors. It was at a time when I was determined not to accept any other offer for editorial work or paper publications due to the heavy workload. However, this time around, I could not say no. The reason was purely that the person at the centre of the celebration himself never said no to any request for help, advice and support, notwithstanding that his was also always a busy schedule. |
