| Abstract: | WreckLife addresses the issues related to the degradation of wrecks and its influence on marine organisms and ecosystems. By studying the temporal shifts in climate and their effects on the marine environment, and utilizing a holistic interdisciplinary approach, the project aims to bolster our ability to anticipate future degradation and create effective strategies for safeguarding these underwater cultural heritage sites. WreckLife establishes a new paradigm for the management of historic shipwrecks and their ecological contexts, thus playing a vital role in the worldwide conservation of underwater cultural heritage. |
