| Abstract: | The increased adoption of generative Al in language education has led to questions about how students and teachers should best interact with the technology, with critical thinking being described as a fundamental component of a human-centred mindset towards the use of Al. This article examines the relationship between critical thinking and Al, showing that the use of the technology requires a solid grounding in critical thinking while also contributing to the development of people's cognitive skills. |
