Abstract: It is becoming increasingly obvious that Global Health in Nursing is intrinsically tied to sustainable education, on both the global and local levels. This chapter addresses the concept of global health with a focus on sustainable nurse education. It draws upon the work of the Consortium of Universities for Global Health (Consortium of Universities for Global Health [CUGH], 2023; Wilson et al., 2014), the WHO (World Health Organization [WHO], 2022) Global Competency Framework for Universal Health Coverage as well as Wilson et al (2014) Global Health Competencies to Prepare 21st Century Global Health Professionals.
