Abstract: Introduction: Pharmacists should strive to take a leading role in the clinical implementation of pharmacogenetics to personalise antiplatelet therapy. The aim was to compare a novel point-of-care (POC) and two robust laboratory-based assays to identify presence of the CYP2C19 *2 allele in patients prescribed clopidogrel therapy.
