Abstract: Introduction: First year undergraduate pharmacy students within the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Malta carry out five two-hour laboratory practical sessions on various clinical skills and document activities in a developed workbook. Clinical skills include blood glucose, blood pressure and body mass index (BMI) measurement, urinalysis and administration of intradermal, subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, using point-of-care (POC) diagnostic devices and training simulators. The aim was to evaluate student perception of these practical sessions.
