Abstract: Background: A survey on medication wastage in Malta revealed that age and awareness of wastage were significantly related, with younger respondents being less likely to self-report awareness of medication wastage. The aim of the present study was to determine baseline knowledge of primary school children regarding medication and medication wastage and to evaluate the short-term effects of an educational intervention.
