Abstract: Every term the majority of universities must deal with the task of generating examination timetables for many of the courses they offer. While good algorithms exist for creating examination timetables, it happens frequently that these timetables must be modified due to previously unforeseen circumstances. This paper considers the required operations. it discusses the underlying data structures and methods used to successfully achieve interactive modification of the schedule.
