| Abstract: | That Your Petitioners, and others, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty six, caused to be presented to Your Right Honorable House a humble petition, in which, as a remedy for the many grievances of which they complained, they prayed, essentially that Your Right Honorable House might be pleased to grant them a Legislative Council, or Assembly, according to the principles of representative governments.
