Abstract: The long essay presented the results of a survey with 41 repeat tourists. The majority of the tourists (73.2% - Table 1) chose Malta as a destination on recommendation of family and friends. The pie-chart (Fig. 1) shows how many times the tourists visited Malta in percentages revealing that some repeat tourists visited the country 5 or more times. This is important as repeat tourists are the ones that usually search for more specialised products and may even attempt to take part in more environmentally-friendly forms of tourism such as trekking, hiking, and rural tourism.
