Abstract: A prayer, written by Pope Paul VI, on the occasion of Malta’s Independence on the 21st of September 1964. It is a heartfelt invocation seeking divine blessings upon the Maltese Islands. It expresses profound gratitude to God, petitions for wisdom and guidance for national leaders, and calls for unity, justice, and peace among the people. In the prayer His Holiness also encourages civic virtue, national loyalty, and faithfulness to the Church.
