| Abstract: | The tourism and hospitality sector is a crucial contributor to the Maltese economy, playing a significant role in generating income, employment, and foreign exchange earnings. Discrimination represents a transgression of fundamental human rights and can result in significant adverse effects for both individuals and the broader community Although there are rules and regulations in place to prevent prejudice, it’s important to note that their application and the degree to which they influence lowering discrimination in the hospitality sector can vary. It’s critical to continuously assess how well these rules and regulations are being put into practise (Lewis, 2020). The thesis’ results are a valuable contribution to scholarly investigations into discrimination within the tourism and hospitality sector, with a particular focus on Malta. Policymakers and industry professionals seeking to establish a fairer work environment will find the findings of this study to be of great interest. [excerpt] |
