| Abstract: | The final partner meeting of the Erasmus Vinci Low Carbon Tourism project took place in Prague on Friday, 8th December 2023 ,very close to the unique Astronomical clock, the Orloj that adorns the spectacular Old Town Square full of traditional food stalls of the famous Christmas village. The Orloj dates back to 1410 and was constructed by clockmaker Mikulas of Kadan, and Charles University professor of mathematics and astronomy, Jan Sindel. The clock mechanism consists of three main components: the astronomical dial that charts the positions of the Sun and the Moon in the sky and their path through the zodiac; statues of various Catholic saints standing by the side of the clock with “The Walk of the Apostles” being a highlight – an hourly display of moving Apostle figures and the famous statue of a skeleton that represents death; and a calendar dial with medallions representing the months.
