| Abstract: | This handwritten botanical field notebook, includes a list of flowering plants observed across various locations in Malta and Gozo such as Mtahleb, Pembroke, Għajn Tuffieħa, Gnejna, Boschetto and others, with scientific names and taxonomic authorities (e.g., “L.” for Linnaeus, “Pers.” (Persoon), “Desf.” (Desfontaines), “Guss.” (Gussone), and “Don.” (George Don). An inserted note and additional pages on the reverse contain personal journal entries dated 1901 and pencil sketches of botanical data, suggesting field-based or preparatory research. |
