Abstract: Shape-programmable materials are responsive and adaptable materials with the ability to alter their geometry and mechanical properties to specific stimuli. One promising class of shape-programmable materials is the magnetically actuated materials as their shape can be manipulated not only through the magnitude of the stimuli but also through the direction and spatial gradient. In this work new magneto-mechanical metamaterials were proposed whose geometry can be controlled through an external magnetic field.
