| Abstract: | The article furnishes an overview of the directions by the Medical Council of Malta to medical practitioners indicating that medical practitioners who are not on duty but who encounter such an emergency, accident or tragic event, have a moral and ethical responsibility to assist individuals whose life or personal safety is at risk. |
