| Abstract: | The presentation explains the role of Open Access (OA) in providing free and reusable access to scholarly work and data. It introduces OAR@UM, the University of Malta’s institutional repository launched in 2014, which preserves and shares publications, theses, and other scholarly and cultural outputs. It also presents drUM, the University’s research data repository launched in 2023, which supports storage, versioning, and sharing of datasets curated directly by researchers. Both platforms, managed by the UM Library, enhance visibility, accessibility, and long-term preservation of research while ensuring quality control and compliance with OA principles. |
