| Abstract: | For the inauguration of the Settimana della Lingua ltaliana, the lstituto Italiano di Cultura and the Junior College of the University of Malta have joined forces and organized a grand vocal and instrumental concert in the splendid "Peter Serracino Inglott" Auditorium. The event will be attended by the Hon. Minister of Education and Labour, Evarist Bartolo, and the Ambassador of Italy, Giovanni Umberto De Vito. The all-Italian program included a vast repertoire ranging from operas by Verdi, Mascagni, and Puccini, to choral music and film soundtracks by Morricone, classic hit pieces, and modern songs. The Junior College Orchestra, conducted by Mro Manoel Pirotta, performed with tenor Aldo Busuttil and emerging new talent soprano Danielle Ciantar, supported by the Santa Venera Choir, directed by Mro Joe Tanti. |
