Abstract: These guidelines were designed as a resource for educators who seek to gain a deeper understanding of how to develop interactive educational content in the form of real-world simulations. They are one of the outcomes of the UPSKILLS project aimed at integrating game elements into language- and linguistics-related degree courses. The specific goal of these guidelines is to show how a specific technology, namely H5P, can be utilized to develop interactive simulations that provide learners with immersive and experiential learning, as was the case with the TopLang game that was created under the auspices of UPSKILLS.
