Abstract: We are living in a world which is changing relentlessly at a breathtaking rate. In order to address these rapid changes, Malta is at the moment going through a wide-ranging reform in education. It is calling for a paradigm shift from a situation where teachers are disseminators of information and students are passive recipients to a scenario where teachers facilitate and empower students to become active lifelong learners by equipping them with the necessary tools to embark upon a meta-learning journey leading to success.
