Abstract: This study primarily explores the representation of transitional life phases as liminal spaces. It aims to establish a visual connection between the ‘physical’ world and the psychological state of mind through a Virtual Reality experience. The research highlights the impact that liminal spaces have on people, as well as our perception of time and space within them. It emphasises and elevates the significance of liminality as an in-between state of infinite possibilities that should be embraced rather than feared. The project encourages people to consider that liminality is a part of us and that we traverse liminal zones more frequently than we realise. It calls into question the idea of life as a constant transitional state through which we have to navigate and choose the paths we want to take.
