Abstract: This dissertation investigates the development and efficiency of MoodMend, a digital platform designed to support the emotional well-being of university students. Based on an understanding of common negative emotions experienced by students, the study focuses on how to combine psychological coping mechanisms with digital arts to produce an effective self-help tool. The study uses a practice-based approach and follows the triple diamond design process, which consists of three phases: discovery, definition, and development. MoodMend evolves as an innovative solution for promoting mindfulness-based activities. A focus group, conducted through an online survey, collects feedback from university students, verifying MoodMend's efficiency in managing negative moods. The platform's long-term influence is highlighted. Future research directions include longitudinal studies to assess MoodMend's effectiveness, expansion to encompass a broader range of negative emotions, and enhancements such as mobile application development and dynamic exercises. MoodMend is a revolutionary project addressing student emotional well-being that combines creativity, empathy, and a dedication to creating resilience and meaningful connections among university students.
