Victor Camilleri was born on 13th September 1944, and from a very young age, music became a central part of his life. His father, a dedicated musician, was the first to inspire in him a deep love and appreciation for music, nurturing Victor 's talent from early childhood.

In 1952, at the age of eight, Victor emigrated with his family to London. There, he attended St Joseph's School, where his musical abilities quickly caught the attention of his teachers. At just ten years old, he was entrusted with leading the school music group: a rare responsibility for someone so young. His passion for music was further encouraged by his school teacher, Ms Davis, who advised Victor's father to enrol him in piano lessons after observing his exceptional gift.

Victor began his formal training under several instructors, eventually studying under a renowned Polish music teacher whose own mentor had been a student of the legendary composer Franz Liszt. Under her guidance, Victor was trained to play the works of celebrated classical composers and was urged to enter various prestigious music competitions across London, including those associated with the Royal Music institutions.

For his studies in theory, counterpoint, and orchestration, Victor attended the Royal London School of Music, where he earned the distinguished Fellowship of the London College of Music (FLCM). Upon returning to Malta, he continued to refine his craft through private lessons with the eminent Maltese composer Mro Carmelo Pace.

Although he later dedicated much of his life to raising a family and running the family business, Victor never lost touch with his musical roots. After sixty years away from formal composition, he returned to his passion with renewed dedication. In recent years, he has composed sacred music with orchestration, as well as other classical works, continuing to share the beauty of music that has been with him since childhood.
