Abstract: This dissertation explores the effect of time on memory and our ability to recall past experiences accurately. Through a diverse artistic methodology that integrates textile art, sound, and digital media, the research examines how personal and collective memories are shaped, preserved, and altered over time. Using five tapestries, each accompanied by a unique audio composition, the study investigates the evocative power of textiles as vessels of memory, emotion, and temporal experience. Additionally, an online space designed to complement the physical works, enhances audience engagement and interaction. By situating the project within the broader context of time, consumption, and remembrance, this dissertation offers insights into how creative methodologies can serve as both a reflective and critical lens on personal and societal narratives. Drawing from interviews, theoretical frameworks, and artistic practice, this research contributes to contemporary discourse on time-based media, memory studies, mixed media both tactile and digital, and interactive art.
