Abstract: This article reviews a study of the Maltese ethnolect spoken in Australia, examining how migration, bilingualism, and contact with English shaped what is termed “Maltralian.” It highlights linguistic change, code-switching, loanword adaptation, and the role of language in maintaining ethnic identity within the Maltese diaspora.
