Abstract: This handbook, Promoting relevant education for practice and science, is a refreshing, contemporary treatise on the need for curricula evolution in pharmaceutical education, updated competencies for future practice, and identifies strategies for closing the gap between clinical learning and real-world practice. The information on future competencies in digital health and artificial intelligence, interprofessional education, and leadership and innovation are particularly relevant to pharmaceutical educators today. This is a focused and highly readable document, authored by twenty internationally recognised educators and administrative experts and leaders at FIP AIM institutions. This handbook represents a significant achievement in supporting the FIPEd vision of equitable access to transformational change in pharmaceutical education and training that advances pharmaceutical practice and sciences to improve global health and well-being. It makes a critically important contribution to promoting and enhancing the scale and scope of relevant pharmaceutical education for the decade ahead. I would like to acknowledge and offer thanks to the many colleagues and collaborators of FIP AIM and FIPEd who contributed to this exciting overview, with special thanks to Prof. Lilian Azzopardi and Dr Genuine Desireh for their service as editors. I look forward to receiving your thoughts and comments on this handbook as we work together to advance pharmaceutical education into an exciting future. [Foreword by John A. Pieper, FIP Education Chair]
