| Abstract: | Axillary hyperhidrosis is characterized by excessive sweating in the axillary regions. It is a chronic disorder which can lead to impaired quality of life and social embarrassment. Identifying the condition is important so it can be safely and effectively treated. Evidence shows that Botulinum toxin is a safe and effective method of treatment for focal hyperhidrosis and provides longerlasting results than topical treatments without the need of invasive surgery. |
