| Abstract: | The Ship That Died of Shame and Other Stories is a hybrid artist book by Maltese artist Matyou Galea. It fuses appropriated short fiction, original guitar notation, conceptual illustrations (including the white monkey motif), pixel art, and maps into a single tactile object that blurs literature, music, and visual art. Structured in sections such as “The White Monkey,” “The Silver Spoon,” and “Kind-hearted Rat with a Life Belt,” the work transforms classic texts into an experimental, interdisciplinary experience. |
