| Abstract: | The artist book by Maltese artist Matyou Galea presents a rhythmic, darkly absurd poem (repeating the title motif) paired with eerie vintage-style illustrations, telling a surreal fable of death, accusation and scapegoating: a curious moth is blamed for the devil’s carnage while villagers, the sun and even the moon look away. The result is a macabre, nursery-rhyme-like narrative that blends poetry, appropriated imagery and conceptual storytelling in Galea’s signature hybrid style. |
