Abstract: Introduction: The pharmaceutical supply chain strives to maintain a consistent supply of medication to support public health. The urgent need for digital transformation was highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic where supply chain vulnerabilities, such as issues with procurement and shipment delays occurred, resulting in medication shortages and decreased patient accessibility. The implementation of digital tools within the pharmaceutical distribution sector seeks to improve process efficiency and traceability through a monitored and data-driven approach. Despite its advantages, there are numerous challenges which interfere in further adoption of digital tools.
Aims: ➢ To identify currently implemented digital processes within the pharmaceutical distribution sector ➢ To understand barriers and enablers of digital transformation
