| Abstract: | Dear Editor, Ginkgo biloba leaf extracts exhibit antioxidant, anticancer, antibacterial, antiviral, anti- inflammatory, and neuroprotective properties (Gohil et al. 2000). In Europe, according to the European Directive 24/2004 (Chinou 2014), European Medicines Agency (EMA) approved Ginkgo biloba extracts in 2015 as a medicinal product “for the improvement of cognitive deterioration associated with age and quality of life in mild dementia” and for the “relief of the feeling of heaviness in the legs and circulatory disorders characterized by the sensation of cold in the hands and feet” (European Medicines Agency Science Medicines Health 2015).
