Abstract: Giovanni Bonello examines Malta's logistical and economic involvement in the Russo Turkish War of 1828 1829. Driven by severe domestic poverty, local merchants and workers secured vital income by securing employment and freight charter contracts via Russian Consul Antonio Regnaud Carcas and Fleet Intendant General Sergej Brovtsyn to supply the Russian naval squadron at Poros, Greece.
