Abstract: In an age of social media and digital algorithms, being able to empower patients with the correct information and facilitate the ability to make safe, informed decisions about healthcare is a role that healthcare providers cannot afford to underestimate. The merits of screening for Breast Cancer have been challenged by cynics for decades, but the evidence supports that more lives are saved when regular screening is employed. [excerpt]
