| Abstract: | From its origins, the members of the Order of Saint Lazarus have adopted distinct dress forms to identify themselves as belonging to the institution. The uniform has changed over the centuries starting with the simple monkish habit of the Crusader period, to the more flamboyant dress style of the Baroque age and the military dress uniform of the modern age. The paper will look at the modern twentieth-century developments in uniform styles. |
