Abstract: While digital technologies have already transformed data acquisition and manufacturing, AI can be used as a layer of intelligent analysis and automation with potential to improve clinical diagnosis and treatments. This chapter systematically describes and evaluates a range of AI-powered tools available for teaching and modern dental clinics, with multiple primary applications. These include the role of AI algorithms and large language models in the preparations of educational materials and clinical reports, as well as in the creation of cinematic reconstructed images from radiographs. The capacity of dedicated AI tools to generate comprehensive and dynamic virtual patients for treatment planning, simulations, and education is also discussed.
