| Abstract: | Although the Equality Bill has been defeated in the House of Representatives, this should not be interpreted simply as a government botched attempt to introduce human rights and equality legislation in Malta. It should be considered as a golden opportunity to adopt a legal framework that suits the people who will have recourse to that law and any institution established thereunder. |
