| Abstract: | Feature article by Juliana Zammit recounting the emotional 50-year reunion of two Maltese brothers, Richie and Sonny Borg, who were forced to emigrate to Australia in the 1960s by their mother. The article explores their childhood in pre-1966 Malta, daily life centered around church, family, and community, their father's service in the navy, their experiences of hard work and starting over in Melbourne, Richie's return to Malta after being drafted for the Vietnam War, and their reflections on how modern Malta and opportunities for youth have transformed. |
