| Abstract: | Higher education (HE) institutions, and therefore universities, are under attack in several countries. Instead of broadening the discourse, as does this book under review, so that universities and HE institutions begin to address some of the contemporary and possible long-term needs of society, these institutions are being presented as further potential sources of commercial enterprise, competing in the marketplace of knowledge and commodities. |
