Abstract: Ubiquitous computing has several drawbacks, mainly the lack of infrastructure on which pervasive applications should be deployed on. (Starner 2002) Expensive hardware is required to deploy the resources that are required for ubiquitous computing. These significant drawbacks gave way to the area of wearable computing. In this paper we briefly describe our recent work in the area of wearable computing, were we deploy some major principles of ubiquitous computing to achieve a generic ecommerce framework that can be used by any wearable device.
