| Abstract: | Acyclic α-nitro ketones are easily obtained in one pot, through a solvent-free procedure by nitroaldol (Henry) reaction on neutral alumina, then in situ oxidation of the nitroalkanol using wet alumina supported chromium(VI) oxide. |
