| Abstract: | One of the most influential figures situated in Birkirkara in the 1600s was Dun Filippo Borg- chaplain of the Collegiate Basilica of St. Helen. In a letter to Pope Urban VII, Borg requested that a collegiate be created in his church. The Pope accepted the request and, in return, delivered a letter describing the conditions under which the collegiate would function. |
