Abstract: Year four of the third millennium, 2003, started with most investment gurus predicting that, as had happened in the 1929/1932 crash, we would see a fourth consecutive year of market decline for only the second time in history. Instead, it turned out to be the first positive year since 1999 with the Dow gaining 24.32%, up 2,112.29 points to close the year at 10,453.92.
